Ginger Biscuits

I have just been give a home made ginger biscuit (Delia Recipe) which includes flour, butter, ground ginger, bicarbonate of soda and syrup not sure if there was anything else in it.

Can anyone help with the finer details such as quantities and cooking times as they were lovely and I would like to make some with my grandchildren.

Thanks

Ginger Biscuits

Can you make them without the chocolate or will the balance be wrong and alter the cooking time

Ginger nuts

I usually make Delia's ginger nuts using

4oz/110g SR flour
1 rounded tsp ground ginger
1 level tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
1.5oz/40g granulated sugar
2oz/50g Margarine
2oz/50g Golden Syrup

I have to use honey as I can't get syrup and they taste fine. I don't know how this differs from the recipe you are using but I hope this helps.
