This is the place to ask other users for cookery advice, ingredient info and technique tips. You are very welcome to pass on your favourite recipes, but please bear in mind that, with over 1,200 recipes on the site, it might be worth seeing if Delia has something similar.

Is the weekly recipe only shown that week. I've tried to see if I can look back at the step by step video and can't get it. I can get the recipe etc but no video.

Online video.

The old videos are still there. Hover over "Cookery School" and you will see "lesson 1" "2" etc, and there they are.

I'm not getting any videos - just a blank space where they should be. Can anyone help? I am using Internet Explorer9/Windows 7 and have tried with both ActiveX filtering disabled and enabled.

When you first open a video page, the video area will be blank - look for the words 'content loading' under the blank area. It takes a minute or so for the video content to load, then you should be good to go. Hope that works for you!

Thanks for your suggestion. I wasn't getting "content loading"
but went and did something else hoping that when I went back to the computer it would have appeared. Unfortunately it hadn't. I tried again the next day and it worked fine so I now think there must have been something wrong with the computer. I must say that I thought the videos were really good and I just wish that there had been something like that when I got married 40+ years ago.

Vids are hugely helpful...a picture tells a thousand words. Look at Larousse Gastronomique. I have a 1960s edition and the presentation is soooooo boring.
