Loaf tin v. round cake tin

Loaf tin v. round cake tin

Sorry to be a nuisance, as I'm sure this has been covered before but time is of the essence.

Is a 7" or 8" round cake tin equivalent to a 2 lb loaf tin, please?

My making today, what looks like a delicious cake, rests on an urgent positive response.

I hope this is in time for you.... the way I would use to find out the equivalent of the tins in question would be to fill them with water and then measure out the water to see if it is the same for the one I wanted to use. I hope this is clear.
