Any tips on how to skin a sausage please

Any advice would be appreciated

I just use a sharp knife to pierce the skin and gently slice down and peel the skin off. It's a shame its not as easy to buy good quality sausage meat as it is to buy good quality sausages.

But in case we're wrong and genuine advice is required, here is my modus operendum:

Ingredients:
Uncooked sausage in skin

Tools required:
Fingers

Method:
Slit skin with fingernail and rip the skins off.

Now how helpful can one be!! :)

I try to be ever-helpful, Sandra. ;) ;) Just imagine the frustration of this poor poster left alone in her kitchen with a sausage replete in its skin. I can see in my mind the skin staring at her defiantly as she weighs up endless skinning solutions, desperate as to which way to turn in order to rid the sausage of its unwanted layers.
