Soup

I've bought a pack from Waitrose of Pulled Pork Hock - think it is 180g. Has anyone got a soup recipe in which I can use this please? I'm not very good at concocting things but I know some of you are - I prefer to have a recipe to follow. Many thanks.

Soup

This is what I will make tomorrow with the pork shoulder that I have left from today.

1 Large onion.
2 sticks of celery .
2 potatoes.
1 good sized carrot.
1 1/2!pts of veg stock.
S&P.
Can of chic peas.
splash of Worcester sauce( optional)

I cut all the veg very small.

Sweat the onion on a very low heat for about 10 mins
Then add all the other veg , allow to soften , then add the stock & chick peas.
Allow to cook until the veg is soft.
Add the rinsed chic peas.

If you want you liquidise at this stage , or leave it as it is.
Sometimes I liquidise half , this thickens it slightly but still leaves pieces of veg .

At this stage I add the pork.

The veg is interchangeable , whatever you have , sometimes I have sweet potato.have been known to add a tin of chopped tomatoes especially if I am using Chirotzo instead of pork or chicken.

Many thanks Anastasia - your recipe sounds "souper" - will give it a go tomorrow.

Just to say Anastasia your Soup was delicious. I followed it apart from Chick Peas. I used tinned Butter Beans and also added some frozen Peas. We had it for Lunch yesterday with crusty bread. Also had enough to freeze two good sized portions. Again, many thanks.
