Halving recipes

Halving recipes

As most recipes are for four and we are only two I am often halving recipes.I am never sure with the spices,should I halve everything or will I loose flavour if I halve spices etc?

Halving recipes

Well, I'd probably use roughly half the spices, but it's a matter of taste. If you like things more spicy then maybe use 3/4 the amount? I think you'd have to try it and see!!

Personally I often cook the recipe for 4 and eat it over 2 days, or freeze the leftovers!
