Christmas pudding

My home-made Christmas pudding from last year has Gomez dry. Is there annoying I can do or will it be okay once I've steamed it?

More Brandy.

I always unwrap my puddings and add some extra brandy (or juice) before I recover with fresh greaseproof and foil. That re-moistens nicely.

Storing a pud

Hi, How do you store your pubs for next year in the first place?

I left it it it's basin and covered it with clingfilm. I have put some brandy on it but it's still hard. Think I'll have to dump it, or maybe it will revive when steamed if I cover with a cloth instead of foil?

Clingfilm is not enough if you keep it for a year. Re-cover after the first boiling with a layer of greaseproof, topped by a layer of foil. Tie round with string and keep in a cool place.

I always make Delia's puds. I've kept them for a year without a problem and I've also frozen them. They're so full of booze, they're always successful.
