slow cooker

Hi everyone! I want to make this recipe: http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/cuisine/european/english/slow-braised-belly-pork-with-bacon-apples-and-cider.html but am afraid of leaving it unattended in the oven as I have to go to work. Has anyone ever used a slow cooker instead? (perhaps with all the pre-cooking done first, on the cooker). Would I have to cut down on the liquid? Any help is welcome!
thanks!

Slow cooker pork

I haven't done this recipe in my cooker yet.

But YES you do need to reduce the liquid.

Any conventional recipe that you make in the slow cooker, you should reduce the liquid by at least one third.

I am sure there will be no taste difference otherwise to the recipe.

delias authentic ragu is sublime done in the slow cooker.
