powdered gelatine v sheet gelatine

I wish to substitute sheet gelatine for Delia's Champagne Jellies in the Christmas book. Has anyone made this recipe using sheet gelatine please?

sheet gelatine

I always use sheet gelatine, it's much nicer. Not made this recipe but the packets of sheet gel. will tell you how much you need for the recipe's volume.

Sheet gelatine.

As Gerry says, the pack will tell you how to convert one to the other. It'll be fine.

Hi, thanks for the reply but sadly this doesn't help me. Most gelatine packs tell you how much gelatine to set a pint. This recipe contains alcohol which requires more gelatine to set than normal. Anyone else got any ideas?!

Gelatine.

Surely the recipe tells you how much powdered to use? If it does, just look on the pack to see the sheet equivalent.

Simple.

Gelatine.

Meant to say, I've never seen a pack of the sheets that does not tell you something like "1 sheet in this pack is equivalent to 5g of powdered gelatine" etc. I don't have any "in stock" at the moment.

Gelatine

The alcohol content in your recipe has allowed for the required gelatine.
Gerry and James have given you good advice.
