Xmas cake in wrong size tin

Made xmas cake by doubling up the ingredients then baking in a 9" square tin, it was in the oven for approx 8 hours on very low heat, it looks all right. But panic has set in now because I have just read Delia's online rules and it says ckae tin size is very important and you should not double up ingredients like i have done. So now have to make another large celebration cake in 10" square tin but have you ever tried trying to find a large square tin box to put it in nearly impossible, as Delia says tin is better than plastic

Christmas Cake

Cardboard boxes are suitable too. They can be obtained quite easily. Wedding cake are often that size.
Or you can dispense with any outer tin or box and just wrap the cake in greaseproof and foil.
