Potato pot

18 years ago I was given an earthen ware pot to cook potatoes which goes on top of a gas burner. I still have it and it is a great success. Potatoes taste as though they have been barbequed. I want to purchase another one to give to my children. Can anyone let me know where to buy one. I have googled but cannot find one that can go on a gas burner.

Potato Pot

I thought you were asking about "Tatie Pot" (as a recipe) to start with but no, you weren't. I'm intrigued about this dish as I've never seen one and I can't help in your search but would be interested in replies too. Hope you get some answers.

Potato pot

I was looking at the jamie at Home website recently and noticed a terracotta potato pot. It stated that it was for cooking on a gas hob only. Could this be what you are refering to Judith? It was priced at 38 pounds.

Thank you very much. The potato pot at Jamie's looks different from the one I have but it does look as if it does the same - cooking on the gas hob. I have just purchased it so thank you.
