Temperatures and cooking times for Fan Ovens

Several recipes here on-line only give oven temperatures and times for conventional ovens.
It would be useful if the times and temperatures could also be given for fan assisted ovens.
Perhaps there is a rule of thumb conversion which can be universally applied? if so can anyone tell me what that is?

Fan oven

I have a Stoves fan oven & ai reduce mine by 10 to 15 degrees.
Something delicate like a cake I would go down around 15 , but roasts for instance I would go down by 10.
My Sister goes down by 20 for everything.

Fan ovens.

I reduce by 20 for everything in general. The problem is that ovens vary so much so its impossible to give accurate timings. All that can be supplied are the times on the oven that the recipe was tested on, which I'm sure they would use a thermometer on.

It really is up to the end user to know their own oven.

Fan oven

Do you have an instruction manual for the oven? If not they are easily obtainable on-line as pdfs.
