Roasted tomato soup

I've just made Delia's gorgeous roasted tomato soup, but it has turned out to be very thick. Can I dilute it with stock or milk, before or after freezing? I don't want to reduce the gorgeous flavour. Many thanks.

Tomato soup

Dilute the soup after freezing for two reasons. It may change texture when it is thawed. And the soup will take up less room if you freeze it before diluting.
