Replacing block of puff pastry with sheets?

Hi, I made Delia's Chicken Feuilletes last weekend and they were absolutely delicious! As everyone loved them so much I just wanted to ask if in future I could use sheets of puff pastry instead. The rolling took me such a long time ( It was my first time using pastry so not confident enough to try without asking!) If the answer is yes how many sheets should I use instead or simply weight the sheets to equal the block weight. Many thanks

Chicken feuilletes

This is one of my most used recipes for using up leftover chicken from a sunday roast, with some bulking up with other other veggies and extra mushrooms.

personally i never find rolling ready made puff pastry that much of a problem.

But you can use,and i have brought a pack of the ready rolled stuff, a pack of ready rolled puff at 320g pack to make 4, with trimmings to make patterns etc.

these pies freeze brilliantly don't they - another ready meal up your sleeve tucked away in the freezer.

Course you can. Weight for weight.

The chief difference is that ready rolled doesn't usually rise so well, but the main thing is to buy the stuff with butter in, not the cheaper version - whether block or ready rolled. But I keep a selection in the freezer, it's a handy stand by.
