Christmas pudding advice please

I made my christmas pud 6 days ago and put it in a cool dark place completely forgetting to replace the greaseproof and foil.

I have now removed the old covering.
The pud is damp to the touch but no sign of mould.

If I replace the cover now and store it until Christmas day will it be ok or will I be faced with a green mass?

My other option is to freeze it as it is.I realise that the flavour won't be the same but at least we would have an edible pud!

Just change the greaseproof and foil as normal.

The damp-looking appearance is absolutely normal. Ensure you keep the pudding in a cool place.
