hi - going back to 1977 I received a cook book which contained the receipe for gallic steaks - beef fillet flambayed in whiskey. First - sealing the fillets of beef in oil then turning down the heat and adding onion and garlic plus seasoning cook until fillets medium rare plus onions translucent, add mushrooms then flambay in whiskey.
Has anyone got this receipe to share to know if the above is correct?? many thanks sadie

That sounds good, we don't always use onions. After the flamb&"233; a little cream makes a good sauce.
