Scaling DOWN christmas cakes

HI
Does anybody have a list of ingredients and timings for a 3 inch christmas cake. Last year i just made a big cake mix and divided it up.

I haven't done an actual christmas cake recipe, in mini tins - but i have made mini dundee cakes. i made as per delias recipe (traditional dundee cake) and split the mixture into a muffin tin - used 2 paper cases, and i cooked for 30-45 mins and icovered with parchment with holes stabbed through so they didn;t burn. Just thought that might help - i know its not exactly what you where looking for.

have you got an actual 3 inch tin or are using the half sized baked bean tins/pineapple tins?

as i am sure someone on here has a sepcific recipe in their profil for baked bean tin cakes.

Hi

I have the 3 inch tins. They are marked pork pie tins. I had just the one last year and made the mixture as per a 7 inch cake and just put it into this tin. Turned out just fine.
This year, i have to make a few more so i have bought more tins.
I'm sure there will be a recipe somewhere for a 3 inch cake.

ah, so my thought about buying a specific 3 inch tin has been blown out the window - as you say they are for pork pies, yum! - i was going to say did the packaging given you any recipe hints? or does the maker of the tins you own have a web site? maybe you could email them?
