Chutney

Just made some cucumber and apple chutney, been simmering for ages but still not as thick as I would like. Can anyone suggest how to thicken or do I just leave it to cool.

David, you really need Anastasia, so I hope she sees this. It might thicken on cooling, so why not wait and boil it up a bit longer tomorrow if need be. Anyway, chutneys do thicken over time and mostly need to mature. But A. is the expert; I'm not.

can't really help with this one - but it sounds lovely.

Ana is your best bet on this subject like gerry has mentioned.

maybe just cook a bit longer and jar up, and see how it is tomorrow see if its set a bit more, if not re boil it.
