Burn't jam pan

Any ideas how i can clean my jam saucepan,

Made apricot jam on wednesday and it hadn't set, so re boiled it yesterday, only left it for two minutes to see who was at the gate and it caught right in the middle.

Left it soaking over night, but still a thick black mess stuck to the bottom. Any idea on what to use to remove it
thanks

Burnt jam pan

Biological washing powder, hot water and leave to soak.It really works!
Also Fairy power spray is very good but you probably need washing powder(or tablet) as it works a bit better.

Burn't jam pan

Bicarb soda is really good. Put some over the burnt area, add some water and boil gently - careful it doesn't bubble over! Simmer a few minutes then leave to cool.
Should get the burnt stuff off easily!!

If all else fails Sue, you could try soaking in a bit of salt and vinegar. It usualy works for me.
