outside table cloths

is there such a product that is a table clth that has a hole in the middle for parasol - that velcro's up or something similar - so you don't have to tackle a heavy parasol every time you want to use the outside table to lay a cloth over?

you can simply "pull apart" the cloth - and then wrap around the brolly . do you know what i mean?

Lakeland used to do one like you described I think. it velcroed down a split. Just like them to come up with a jolly good idea!

cloth for parasol table

Yes, Sam, I know what you mean and if you have a sewing machine you can make one easy peasy. Choose some fabric (wipe clean maybe) and cut to size, then cut in half but make one half a couple of inches wider than the other and remembering to cut about a four inch hole in the middle for the parasol Stitch the velcro on, with a little hem for overlapping.
If you don't have a sewing machine, just use stick-on velcro. Good luck!

Table Cloth

I ordered one from Lakeland and received it yesterday. It's acrylic coated, green and has a velcro opening. I have had one like this before, although it did not have a velcro opening. It spent the whole summer outside and was just wiped down before use. If only Lakeland sold sunshine too then I'd be in business!!!

outside table cloth

thank you - looked at lakeland - didn't think of looking there. and that is exactly what i am after - now i am going to be quite picky......ITS GREEN!!!!!! won't match my stuff, oh deary - what am i to do (wouldn;t have minded so much if the cloths had a pattern) - but all my cushions and brolly and outside plates and napkins and candles for the mozzies to enjoy rather than us, are all navy blue....is it possible to throw caution to the wind and have clashing table cloth to whatnots???

table cloth

There is a saying " blue and green should never been seen " but I think that is load of rubbish. I used to wear navy tights and green shoes for school, nobody commented about it.
If you cover the table with plates and loads of food nobody will notice the colour of the table cloth. Buy it, I would.

I agree. Do people think the trees and blue sky are a colour clash?

blue and green should never be seen

whoever said that had obviously never had the joy of seeing a bluebell wood. Many garden flowers have blue flowers, forget me nots, delphiniums, cornflowers, nigella to name a few.
That no notice of the saying.I like blue and green together.

blue and green

i thought that saying was something to do with wedding clothing as it was deemed bad luck?

so if you have a future MIL wearing blue and green at your wedding - you know your doomed... but i could have just made that up ? but am sure thats what i heard.

Well I'm doomed then:o(
When I read what you said I had a terrible feeling that's what she wore. Had to find the photos. A green hat and scarf with navy coat, bag and shoes.
Should I find a new husband?
