rhubarb cheesecake

this sounds really DE-LISH

http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/summer-desserts/rhubarb-cheesecake.html

but i am wondering....the recipe says "....tir until the gelatine liquid is clear; then strain in the rhubarb mixture...." does that mean passing the rhubarb mixture thru a sieve (not a big deal if that is what it means) and as i am here in the states, curd cheese where i am is like gold dust.....i was going to try full fat greek yogurt (FAGE actually) and put it in a coffee filter and let it "drip out" over night...graham kerr did this in the 80s and it made a sort of "yogurt cheese".....thanks for all your help and input

Hello,
just looked at this recipe,
it is just the gelatine you strain,INTO the rhubarb. It is just incase there are any bits of gelatine that didn't melt.
If you can't get the cheese and think it might not set you could always add a little extra gelatine if you are going to use yogurt.

To be honest i use any type of cream cheese which is ever on offer and never had a problem
goodluck, might give it a try if i can find some rhubarb

hye sue

thanks for helping to clear that up....i had thought about passing it thru a sieve so the filling is more smooth and not chunky (not that chunky is bad int his case).....

thanks for your help!!!
