Driving over Lemons

It's been published quite a while but I'm only just reading it now. It's by Chris Stewart, the first drummer for the rock group Genesis, about his move to a remote mountain area near Granada. Delightful!

Sounds good

Love getting others' views on books, especially when I know that we share a lot of the same tastes. Will look out for that one Elpe.

Driving over Lemons

Spooky! Wide awake at just before 4am this morning Elpe, listening to the radio, and what book are they reading? Driving over Lemons!!!!!! I paid special attention after your review - the sheep shearing episode. Makes you want to live there doesn't it?

Lemons

Oh, Lemonsqueaky, what station was it on?
Susan, yes, he's done various others but I've not read any of them yet but would like to - I just need more hours in the day! (or night!)

It was on BBC7 Elpe, at about 3.45am. Think it finished last night but you can listen on iPlayer.

Driving Over Lemons

Without doubt this is in my top 3 favourites of all time. It`s beautifully written, gentle, funny and really brought me into the soul of provincial Spain. I bought his 2nd book too, a Parrot in the Pepper Tree, which I enjoyed, but it didn`t have anything like the same impact that Lemons did.

Truly a magical read!

Driving over Lemons

Read this some years ago, and Parrot in a Pepper Tree, both excellent books. Enjoy ...

Driving Over Lemons

Read that when it first came out, and loved it. I can recommend his follow-up book "A Parrot In A Pepper Tree" which continues the story.
