Susan, I read this book 2 or 3 years ago and I don't think I've actually recommended it to anyone. In a way, I quite enjoyed it but at times I was frustrated by the long intro, perplexed at the incongruity of the story and to be honest, quite glad when I'd finished it! Don't think it's one I'd read again, but who knows. Let's just say it's a bit different!

It's a superb book Susan. I was gripped, shocked, confused, horrified but couldn't put it down. One of my favourites just because it's so bizarre.

I enjoyed it too in a funny way, didn't make a great deal of sense but as you say utterly bizarre and so unusual. Give it a go, got mine in a charity shop - where I get most all of my books, including cook books.
