The Woodcutter

Just finished this book by Reginald Hill, really enjoyed it. Not one of the Dalziel and Pascoe series but a stand alone novel and the plot-line has shades of The Count of Monte Cristo. I think R Hill is a very witty writer and his descriptions of the Cumbrian countryside add to the atmosphere. foxy x

I'll have to look out for that one Foxy, it sounds good and as it's set in my part of the world it will add interest for me.

Bought The Woodcutter Foxy...

just downloaded it onto my kindle. Was given a surprise £20 Amazon voucher for Christmas. Another one I have downloaded (literally just now) is by a new author Seb Kirby "Take No More", he has a couple of good reviews and it's always great to find a new author. I'll let you know what it's like because the blurb sounds as though it's one you would enjoy.

hi Liz, read the resume for Take No More and it seems my sort of read, but can't find anywhere to get it in book format. Will have to buy a Kindle!!! Let me know what you think of it anyway and The Woodcutter too.

That was quick Liz, glad you enjoyed it.I'm half way through Val McDermid's Trick of the Dark, a lesbian crime novel, a bit different from the usual! Happy reading. foxy x

Hi

Thanks for the interest in 'Take No More'. I hope that you are enjoying it! I'd love to hear your comments. (It's always of great interest for an author to receive feedback from readers!).

More details on the book are here:

It's a Kindle book only at the moment. But you don't need to own a Kindle to read it! Amazon has a suite of free gadgets that you can download so that you can read Kindle books on - well, almost anything - your PC or Mac, your phone, your iPad. Here is the link:

How lovely to see you posting here Seb. I'll give my opinion of your book in the next week as I've been finishing a couple of other books and yours is to be started this evening. I'm looking forward to reading it and from the reviews I've already seen, I don't think I'll be disappointed.
