Finally took the plunge....

And bought the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I've read about 150 pages and I have to say that despite my scepticism I am actually enjoying it!

Taking the plunge

You'll want to read the next two when you're finished Nor. Glad to hear you are enjoying.

Just bought the 1st DVD to take on holiday with us, never think the films are as good as the books, they have to leave so much out but still looking forward to watching it. will probably buy all the DVD;s as they are released. Wonder what Hollywood will do with the books as I've read they are making their version of them. Loved all the books. xx

Finished!

I am glad I read it, and despite my initial reluctance I enjoyed it. What does everyone think of the next one though?

Stig Larrson.

If you decide to read the second book, you are just going to have to read the third/last one to see how it all pans out.

Dragon Tattooed Girly

I might get this on amazon now....

I have been in 2 minds about getting this for ages and ages and ages....... so there is a series of this books? i hadn;t realised, is that possibly why the first has been made into a film, so they can carry on the ology?

hmmmmmm, i do love hearing your responses in the book section.

"If you decide to read the second book, you are just going to have to read the third/last one to see how it all pans out."

I agree! Unusual for a 2nd and 3rd book to be as good as the first, if not better. The 3rd one just ties things together and the ending is so good - felt really pleased with the way it ended for that "Dragon Tattooed Girly"
to quote Sam from Worthing.

(My father lives in Worthing too, Sam - irrelevant to the book!!)

You need to persevere for the first 80 pages before it gets going. I read the 2nd on holiday this year. I am planning to read the third on hol next Easter as I daren't start now - I'm far too busy. I've been warned that it takes over. The problem is Easter is very late!! Perhaps I'll start it after Christmas when the threatened snow hits.

No worries as I have plenty of other books to read that are slightly less gripping.

Finally took the plunge

Nausea you definitely have to persevere at the beginning, I was very cynical, but once it gets going it was gripping. I wanted to leave some time before reading the second one, but I bought it this week and will start it soon. Let us know how you get on!
