Finally finished the Scarpetta Factor

It was a total yawn (as evidenced by the fact that I kept falling asleep!)

Her Perfect Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger was sort of intruiging but annoying in lots of ways too.

David Baldacci's True Blue was good, really enjoyed it and am currently reading Lesley Pearse's Stolen - gripping stuff without being too complicated. Can really empathise with the characters, I think I'll be sorry when it's finished but dying to see what happens (always a good sign I think.)

Finally finished.

I've got a book from Mum at the moment, its a total chore to read. Im forcing myself to read five pages at a time and its taking ages to get through.

Can't even remember what its called!

Spelling mistakes

I'm getting really annoyed with your (not) favourite paper lately James - Daily Mail for those who don't know James' pet little hates! The grammar and spelling mistakes, as well as unfinished sentences lately are driving me mad. Les says I'm getting paranoid because I'm tempted to get hold of a red pen and mark each article out of ten with a very stern "see me" notation to send to the editor to ask why this rubbish is getting through - how do we expect children to spell/put a sentence together if our national daily papers get it so wrong. Off soap box - honest!

Graham Hurley

I'd not heard of him, James, but other readers rate him highly.

They do, Gerry. Mum enjoyed the book but I think that was more to do with it being set in the area she grew up so it was a bit of a memory lane type thing for her.

I've got past page 200 so far, and it is SO dull.... And the typos are driving me crazy! Im continually thinking "Someone got paid to proof read this?" and its detracting from my concentration I think.

Liz, I'd mark a couple of pages with a big red pen and post it to them!

Finally finished.

Yeah, the Baz character is not exactly a love is he! LOL.

I've forced myself to finish it, dissapointing ending.......

Glad you enjoy the books Foxy. As we've said many a time on here, we can't all like the same books, food, music or anything, would make discussion incredibly dull if we all agreed!

Squeeky from on here is one of my very best friends, lunch together all that sort of thing. We don't agree on ANYTHING! We've had some right good discussion around my dining room table with a roast dinner and too many bottles of wine. :)

Excellent fun!
