Want to recommend a wonderful book to other members? Please do so ... whether it's food or not, we'd love to find out more.
I'm going to university soon and whilst it is easy to find both student cookbooks, and healthy food cookbooks, it is very hard to find any with a decent crossover of recipes that are easy and cheap to make whilst containing more vegetables than cheese and butter. Any advice?
Do you mean you can cook and want a healthy cook book or you need to start from scratch ?
I don't need to start from scratch, I can cook simple things very well, but anything more complicated than that and I'm stuck, so ideally a healthy cookbook with very easy recipes
have a look at Delia's How to Cook - a great place to start cooking. Has basics and also slightly more complicated recipes for when you're feeling a bit more adventurous.i would say there was quite a few low cost meals in there too - take a peek in a bookshop and see what you think. I use these books ALL the time!
Nosh 4 Students: A Fun Student Cookbook. I bought this for my niece when she went to Uni a couple of years ago. Read the reviews on Amazon as it seems to be highly rated.
