Girl with the dragon tattoo

I'd say it's worth continuing, I loved it. Having said that, it may just be not your sort of book.

thanks Liz- i think maybe i need to sit down for a couple of hours and get into it- its possibly that there's alot of things going on here, and i'm finding it hard to focus on any book at the mo'! I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, or maybe i'll stick it aside for the winter when i can sit down and enjoy it! xx

Girl with...

Hope you do come back to it and find you enjoy it - as I said, I loved it and enjoyed the second one (The Girl Who Played with Fire) even more and the last one (The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest) gives the answers and I was rivetted.

My SIL started Tattoo and like you said "not sure" but did finish it and has started the second "because, I have to find out what happens next" and I won't tell her!

Dragon Tattoo.

I too have read all three, one after another. Couldn't put them down. The house went to wreck and ruin, simple and easy to prepare meals and lots of early nights!!!!!!!

the girl with the dragon tattoo

I have picked this up in the bookshop so many times but when I read the synopsis it puts me off. I keep telling myself it must be good for so many people to rave over. Maybe I should give it a whirl.....

i am giving it the benefit of the doubt and carrying on with it for a bit- its just that i love that feeling when you've got a good book on the go, and you can't put it down- but i'm not getting it with this so far!

Girl etc

Maybe it just isn't for you TH. I couldn't get away with The Thorn Birds; just didn't get what everyone was raving about as I found it boring!

maybe Liz- but others have said it might take a while to get into so i'll stick with it for a bit longer and see :-)

The Millenium Trilogy - GWTDT

OH and I have both read all three books - and we both thought that it was fantastic yarn from start to finish. We both felt quite exhilarated by the end of the last book, and it took us a few days to "come to" .... You really need to stick with the beginning of the first book before it really gets going - I found it very hard going at first, but was soon completely hooked. And we do think that you need to have read the first one to get into the second and the first two to get into the third. Stick with it is our advice!

it's good to get other opinions- so far everyone has said its a great trilogy and that i won't be disappointed! xx

Dragon Tattoo

I've read the Dragon Tattoo and just started the second - really like them. My OH found the first one hard going to start with, but persevered and then loved it. He'll have to wait until I've finished the second one before he can get into it!!
