Rye and caraway seed bread

I have just made rye bread with caraway seeds which has turned out to be wonderful.I made up the recipe because Im pretty used to making my own bread.

I remembered it from when I first moved to London in the 60's and almost all the local shops sold it in Earls Court and in the West End it was sold made into cream-cheese & walnut sandwiches in sandwich bars at lunch time. Can anyone tell me where this bread comes from -I think its Jewish but Im not sure

I also had a go at spelt bread and pitta bread for the first time -they are very good too. Much much cheaper than buying bread even if a bit time consuming

Wrong section

I think you would have more response from this query if you put it in the right section, ie. Can you Help? I think you are probably right in guessing that it is a Jewish bread recipe though but that is as far as I can help you.
