The death of J D Salinger has made me want to revisit Holden Caulfield. Loved the book and can't remember when I last read it - anyone else have fond memories ?
I absolutely loved this book and re-read it so many times - haven't done so for such a long time but think this is a timely reminder to give it another go.And without wanting to be too depressing wasn't Mark Chapman carrying a copy when he shot John Lennon?
Read btoh "Catcher in the Rye" and "Franny & Zooey" in high school & uni. The former is much superior to the latter
