Liz Jones

She writes a column for the You magazine and the Daily Mail. Very high maintenance!!

You readers were forced to go through her divorce with her - I found it more painful than my own divorce! I stopped reading it in the end as she was so frustrating!

couldn't agree more Dottie, she generated no sympathy from me at all. I ended up thinking no wonder you got divorced! Then felt slightly guilty for thinking such horrible thoughts. lol

liz jones

I know people who know her and apparently she is barking mad in real life and it is all true.

is liz jones a real person ?

I agree with everyone else in that she appears to be barking mad. Who on earth would feed feral cats M&S prawns for goodness sake? I'd guess that any friends she might make would be terrified to take things further in case they get written about in her column as they are very likely to be. I sort of feel sorry for her at times but then I think that she brings all her troubles on herself.

sympathy waning...

I have been reading liz jones column for some years now and am finding her very trying, she used to be entertaining to read but now find i am losing any sympathy as she is so full of self-pity.

Liz Jones.

Erm, this is the DAILY MAIL we are talking about.......... Make the Daily Sport look like REAL journalism! (Is the Daily Sport still going?)

Im sorry, but its the most awful paper with dreadful views like cutting off peoples heads for parking offences. Its racist, homophopic and every other sort of phobic you can think of.

Appauling "news" paper.

The book was rubbish but it was a library book so no money wasted , apart from my council tax!!!!

Daily Sport

Now then James, Les loves his Daily Sport, he tells me that it contains "real" news (and to be fair, sometimes it does!) I have often commented on something either that I've seen on the net news (or in your dreaded Daily Mail) and he'll say "that was in the Sport last week". It's funny on Sundays when he gets the Sunday Sport delivered - we often can see the paperboy perusing the mag prior to him putting it through the letterbox!! Lord knows how old the paperboy is but I'm not sure his mum would approve of his education via the Sunday Sport mag!

Liz Jones

Following vandalism to her home in Exmoor, she was on Woman's Hour face to face with one of her "tormentors". Her straightforward interviews of public figures in the Mail are good, but her private life (or rather her now-public life) is unbelievable! She admits to having OCD, manic food dislikes, opens the fridge door with her t-shirt in case her hands have germs on them, very weird ideas of how to get on with people and feeds the farmyard rats with organic grain. Can it all be true? Who could cope with her?

Is Liz Jones a real person?

I think I must be the only person in the country to feel sorry for Liz Jones. She has obviously never been happy and seems to think that throwing money at everything will buy her happiness. Every week when I get the You magazine I turn straight to her page to find out if something positive has happened to her but it never has. I hope that she eventually manages to find contentment and lasting friendships. No one can deny that she is devoted to her animals so cannot be all bad. Good luck to you Liz!

Liz Jones

I like Liz Jones’ column. Yes, she’s complicated, indiscreet, a bundle of insecurities, lonely and (so she says) almost bankrupt yet, despite her personal woes, misfortunes and experiences, she still manages to work for a living AND keep the interest of her readers. I do not think the Editor of You magazine would retain her column if she was a bland, boring and less controversial person. I’m with Judip in wishing her well.

Eccentric, not mad or bad

I love Liz Jones. Yes, its infuriating that she spends so much money on stuff like alternative therapy for horses, but its her money to spend. If she wants to wear designer coats to walk her dog, again, its her choice. I'd be more worried about people who never exercise their dogs - or indeed their children. I'm about as far from a Liz Jones as possible - married 35 years, overweight and think M&S is expensive for clothes. But I admire her ability to make her own way in the world and make her own money, and I bet she would be a most interesting friend.
