The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Hmm - thought provoking. I won't give away the story for those who've not read it yet, but I have mixed feelings about this book. What did you think?

I read the book in 4 hours.

I was hooked! I cried! took the book on our hols and OH read it in a day whilst poorly.

the film on the other hand was rubbish...I would advise anyone who has read the book not to see the film, there is not a lot of resemblence, and you will be dissappointed - but that is my and my alones (and OH) opinion.

the film

well I haven't read the book but I thought the film was excellent but heart wrenching - I just sat & cried at the end, I mean really cried I couldn;t stop, tears pouring down my face. Have to say there was a stunned silence at the end, as well as a lot of sniffles.

Striped PJ's

This book was intended for younger readers. I read it a bawled like a baby. It is on the reading list for my 13 year old from school, I will have to keep an eye when he reads it as he is like me and is likely to bawl his little heart out too.
God I'm very bad ain't I? I should just let him read it and leave him alone...... (rolls eyes)
