Which Delia book?

I will give the short version of the story: Close friends of ours in Thailand recently got married. They had on their wedding gift list a cookbook from Delia. We didn't get the list as they didn't want people coming from far to buy gifts. No one gave the book, so we have asked them which book it is as we would like to give it. They said any book from the How to Cook series, OR any other Delia book we would recommend. Now we don't know which book to get them. They are both French, the guy is good in the kitchen and likes experimenting. I don't think they are big on cakes, more on food. Which book should we get them?
Is there any way to get a book signed by Delia? (Apart from attending a workshop at Norwich).

Delia book

Hi Anneline,

If they mean the three How to Cook books, they are now in one book called Delia's Complete How To Cook which is available from Amazon for £21.70. However, is is a heavy book and you might need to look into how you send it over to Thailand. Her classic Delia's Complete Cookery Course is now available in paperback for £10.20 and may be cheaper to send, but of course it is an older book.

If you email me at feedback@deliaonline.com I can find out about getting something signed, I am not sure if anything is in place now that there aren't any workshops.

Delia cookbooks

I have them all - all are brilliant. I particularly like the Winter one and also the Summer one - but then the one I have used most is probably the original Christmas one - but then the second Christmas one is also great. Oh and then there are the 3 How to Cook books which would be a good gift. I could go on and on but already sound a bit odd..... I think any of her books would be a good gift - can I suggest you look at thebookpeople.co.uk who sell books at really good prices - to prove it look at my two huge bookcases overflowing with cookery books.... Also if they want a few they could look on e-bay to source older books. Good hunting.
