Has anyone started reading this Trilogy?

Im absolutely addicted to them! Finished the first book in a day & already on the second!

What does everybody else think about it?

Fuss on 50 Shades

HA!

I was the same Queen of Puds, so many people going on and on and on about it......... I couldnt bear not to be involved or know what they were talking about!

Glad I bought it now, really enjoyed!

JAMES

50 Shades.

Sorry, I just thought it was badly written soft porn myself.

James - 50 shades of grey

"Sorry, I just thought it was badly written soft porn myself."
I'd not heard of it, James, so read an extract and some reviews. Many would agree with you. It's definitely not on my to-read list.

50 Shades.......

Gerry / James

Yeah I agree with you James her style of writing wasn't great & in fairness the content was less than desirable (God How Old do I sound!) but I have to say, I was hooked!

Its not my normal type of book if Im honest, but had to see what all the fuss was about!

Blushing now! :)

JAMES

50 Shades.

Just reminded me of "Mills & Boon" but without an editor......

I'm behind the times

I hadn't heard of it either. Don't think I'll be adding it to my immediate reading list though.

50 Shades.........

I had heard of it, but not in a good sort of way!!
I thought 'badly written soft porn' summed up the reviews I read rather well, James!!

BDSM and subservient women don't appeal to me, so I agree with Liz and Gerry it's not on my to-read list either. Too many other books I'd like to spend time reading!

Queen of Puds

50 shades ...

I'm halfway through no 1.

It is kinda porno, but strangely compelling - although I have been making sure my kindle couldn't be read over my shoulder when on the train ...!

I am determined to get to the end of it however, but I'm a bit like GC - glad I came along for the ride .... bad innuendo I know but hey, at my age one can only reminisce - LOL

50 Shades of Grey

I've just started this too - I'm in the "see what the fuss is about" category. It does seem to divide people and I've seen reviews calling it Mummyporn!

Garlic Chicken - I didnt know it was a trilogy - just downloaded the first one onto my Kindle - what are the follow ups called?

So far, early days, but doesnt seem to be particularly badly written and it does draw you in quite quickly and Christian is compelling!

Look forward to seeing what everyone thinks of it when we finish!

Queen of Puds

50 shades ...

50 Shades Darker & 50 Shades Freed.

Finished them now - on the whole, they do get better in terms of having a (loose) plot, and there is (slightly) less of the rumpy pumpy in the other 2 volumes which does improve things (and y'know less is definitely more - because if nothing else, at the rate described she'd not have been able to walk.)

The thing that irritates the most is that it was all rather too unbelieveable. Overall, glad I read them but gladder still I'd only paid a few quid each. I also hear that they are about to be made into a film, which makes the mind boggle!

50 Shades

Did you get 2 and 3 on the Kindle as well?

Hmm wonder who could play Christian in the film!!
